⋆. 𐙚˚࿔ A Special Post of Pathogen 𝜗𝜚˚⋆

Welly, welly, well. Look who it is?! I absolutely apologize for slack-a-lackin’ this last week on my usual posts. We had our camping trip this week with my mom and I brought my laptop with every intention of finding a cozy spot by the lake to write but I didn’t ever feel inspired to grab my laptop… In fact, I did not do a whole bunch of anything this week and it was FABULOUS. I read a book that my 10-year-old had read called “Dress Coded” which reminded me of all the crap I endured as a girl in middle school AND of what I need to expect with my baby going into 6th grade 。°(°.◜ᯅ◝°)°。! I also began the classic “Dracula” by Brom Stoker. ANYWAY, this post was NOT going to be a regular one… I’m going to write a regular one in a little bit with all the updates & pictures & attitude & goodies I usually add in BUT I’m so excited to finally share the finished 16×24” acrylic painting of “Pathogen”, the piece inspired by a pen drawing I did back in 2019. (I’ll share the older one in my next post!) This piece was inspired by the cordyceps fungus, or “zombie fungus”, that specifically invades insect hosts and grows flowering bodies from the inside out of specific bug species. This piece is if the fungus began mutating from just parasitic to insects to larger animals… Creepy. Do you love it?! Of course you do. This piece I will be applying to another exhibition… which I will be on the hunt for (hopefully) this week! For right now, she is up at the Arts Council of White Lake in downtown Whitehall, MI! Thanks for looking, babes! See you soon— I’ll be back later tonight!
