YOU GUYS!! We just got back from watching Jaws on THA BIG SCREEN! It was the first time I’d ever seen Jaws at a theater, and it was an absolute blast! We ended up bringing the girls which worked out because I could cover Jovi’s ears/eyes for the creepy stuff & let Nova know what was going to happen, so she knew what to expect! They did great and we were the ones that started the cheering and clapping in the whole theater after Chief Brody blew up the shark! I (of course) wore some of my shark gear! (Huge thank you to my online friends Sonia for the shark hair clip & Daren for the Jaws shirt!) I was bummed because there was a discussion afterwards about the movie as well as a guest Great Lakes scientist who was speaking about whether there ARE sharks in the lakes…. But my girls sat for 2 hours for the movie, and I wasn’t going to ask them to do even more after they were fantastic for the whole movie! And also, what a FABULOUS way to begin Shark Week 2026!

I’ve currently got Shark Week playing on in the background while I’m sitting here with you and I’m just thinking “I guess you need to be a gorgeous K-Pop Grammy nominee to get on Shark Week.” I’ve tried SO hard to get on #sharkweek with my shark art. I actually have made contact and acquaintance with a few of the Shark Week bigwigs and THEY have my artwork! That’s a damn big deal, okay!? I’ll continue to brag about it until everyone stops listening to me. Also, A HUGE shout out to T-Mobile and Hungry Shark by Ubisoft: I received awesome sharky merch bundles from both companies a few years back and those gifts are still so special to me! Discovery, where you at?!◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

Then once we let him in, he’d instantly get cozy on the bed. Photo 9: Nova fished LITERALLY all week! She caught so many fish including a couple good sized bass! It was catch & release where we were camping and the fish were so spoiled + well fed that they preferred hot dogs and pancakes to worms. Photo 10: Again, Ozzy loved camping. Now he needs a bath. Photo 11: Jump pillow shenanigans. Photo 12: Current read, a very pretty edition of Dracula by Brom Stoker. Me and the girls and my mom also got our nails did… while camping. ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ Bubblegum Pink, baybay! Photo 13: Are you KIDDING ME?! This bouquet is absolutely gorgeous (and heavy) & I could not leave the store without it. Photo 13, 14, & 15: JAWS at the Frauenthal!!!

This week, I will be teaching another drawing class for 12+ aged youth! We will be using a real sunflower as reference and drawing its contour lines in pencil and then going in and add shading + details with ballpoint pen. Then we will be adding color to these drawings. I’m super excited as this is one of my favorite cathartic things to draw and I haven’t in quite some time. I also will be searching for a placement for the newest painting “Pathogen” AND looking forward to seeing “The Cactus Hollow Hotel” as the SAMA Biennial 2026 show starts this week! My husband and I are really hoping to get the chance to head to Bedford, Pennsylvania in September sometime to see hanging in the art museum in person (and get a picture next to it-duh!)

Also— HEY, thinking about maybe doing some sort of shop update! Good lord, it has been a really long time since I have updated any products and EVEN LONGER since I’ve made an online sale.
