⫘⫘⫘Poolside & Starry Eyed⫘⫘⫘
Hi friends! To be honest, I don’t have a whole bunch of fun things to share today and I’m thoroughly exhausted from cleaning both my kids’ rooms this week. I basically told them NO SUMMER FUN was to be had until their rooms were cleaned. And although most kids don’t like cleaning, I think everyone can appreciate a nice clean room. Eventually they will be shifting rooms once our renovation is in its final phases, so this was kind of to prepare for that as well as for me to NOT have a heart attack every time I opened their doors. It was just so much stuff everywhere. For just my 10-year-olds room, we packed up and donated TEN garbage bags of toys/clothes/puzzles/etc. Where does all this shit come from?! And why does it make me utterly insane?!
Next week I will be teaching my first art camp class of the summer. This class, for kids around 8-12, focuses on artistic styles and an artist or two that was particularly well known for these styles and how we can apply them to our own artwork. We will be picking a character as a subject to work with as well! You can read more about it here. I also will have more time to continue working on my newest 16×20” acrylic painting, titled Pathogen, for another upcoming exhibition. More on this piece later! ♡

I promise to come back with lots more fun stuff next week. I’m even going to try to write a short story to share with you next Friday… but it has been a really long time since I’ve actually sat down to write anything so I’m scared of what might come out on the paper.
